Ez 39: 11-20

What do you do with an army that you've just destroyed? The Lord instructs the Israelites where to bury the remains of their enemies and it's enough to fill a valley. So much so that the valley will be close off forever. The whole ordeal will take 7 months and the whole nation of Israel will be involved with the process. Even the birds and animals will be involved in the process since they will eat off the dead carcasses of the enemy as a token of His victory. According the commentary, this will be the foreshadow of Rev. 19: 17-21.

All in all, decent day yesterday. Gym, light lunch and even though it was a long day, it was still nice to chill and relax. Seems like the summer malaise has set in, lack of motivation to do anything around here but just chill. Did make a fruit smoothie after dinner. The highlight of the evening even though it was past my bedtime was to chat and pray with GG. Looking forward to seeing him soon. That led to a lousy night going to sleep since it was tough to fall asleep. Started to go over the sermon and internalize it. Saw Melissa Greene's sermon last week at her church and was extremely inspired both in content and delivery.

Today I am slated to play golf this afternoon, but the weather looks ominous. Still taking my stuff in, just in case. The weeks and days leading up to quarter-end has always been the most torturous for me - always has and always will be. This will be no exception. I guess that's part of life.

Praise for today: that He is truly exalted!
