In this section, Paul goes after his opponents. In doing so, he declares himself a fool but one who has gone through the pain and torture for the Gospel - unlike his detractors. He blasts the Corinthians (v. 20) and lets them know that they have been the ones duped. What makes those false teachers and prophets so special that they would be able to dupe them? I guess it's proximity and the fact that Paul has been in prison but still his enbondment is because of the Gospel and his suffering and pain has been a result of his faithfulness and endurance. Paul's concern, while deep for the Corinthians, runs deep for all the churches and is an example to all of us. We should not be myopic in our viewpoint and our focus. We all fight the fight together since we serve the same God.
Prayers for my peeps and for GG in training. For direction for my church and for myself in steering GFC's future.
Praise for today: that the Son will shine and His name be praise.
