I always wondered what Paul meant by "not receiving God's grace in vain". I guess he means that we who are blessed and paid for with a price should and must not just take and not give. It's God hearing and doing on our behalf and that is what we must do as well. To be God's eyes and ears and then His hands, feet and heart is what I think Paul means.
I have never gone through the hardships and the joys for the Gospel the way that Paul and the other apostles in those times have. Yet the bottom line is that if and when we do, are we willing to be rejoicing.? It seems that Paul is encountering the Corinthians as a "one-way"street. By him revealing what he has gone through was not to brag but rather to show them that there is a God that it is worth it all to suffer and be persecuted for. Still very good passage for me this morning...
Prayers: for my peeps and GG and his exam this morning. You know who you are that I am praying for you and I am praying for our God to rain down His blessing and healing powers on you!
Praise for today: for this passage! I will rejoice with and for Him who died for me!
