Gen 12: 1-9

Trust is a very unique quality. Some of us like myself hate to move out of our comfort zone. We tend to stay with people that we are accustomed to, eat certain types of food, stay with the same job (albeit a good thing in my case), live in the same neighborhoods and homes. It takes extreme circumstances to push us into something. Marriage is the same thing - trust, especially when two spouses are away is am essential key element to success. The Lord prompted Abram in an audible voice to leave his comfort zone and move. As mentioned yesterday, the Bible only mentions relationships - good and bad with man and God. There must have been much history between Abram and God to prompt such a calling. Unlike putting your trust in man, God never fails and is powerful enough to carry you through. In the case of Abram, he was promised so much yet as he looked around there was nothing to justify his moving and following God - just God. Sometimes, I need to realize that God is enough and the sole reason that I should.

Praise for today: His strength is perfect, when all hope is gone!
